Our Burton Stone Lane project in York has been granted planning permission. The project, a residential refurbishment and extension, takes many of its cues from the existing Victorian house it is connected to as well as the architecture of the surrounding Clifton conservation area. The extension plays with variations of types and sizes of openings: a large slot of glass which cuts through the building; an oversized 'tilt and turn' window linking to the garden and a corner of sliding glass which opens beneath a cantilevered corner of the roof to respond directly to the outside.
We're now looking forward to getting started on site in the early summer. For more information about the project click here.
